WE WALK BECAUSE WE BELIEVE THAT THE POOR DESERVE TO LIVE WITH DIGNITY.

Imagine waking up in the morning, grabbing a bucket, and fetching the day’s drinking water from a river fifteen minutes away. The water is brown and clearly contaminated, but you have no other option if you want something to drink.

This is the daily reality for 42,000 people in Waslala, Nicaragua.

Over the last five years, Water for Waslala has worked to end this crisis by providing the first 3,000 Waslalans with the clean drinking water they deserve. With your support, we can do more.

Join us for our sixth annual Walk for Water. Help us raise $30,000 to end needless suffering and bring 1,200 more Waslalans clean water for a lifetime.

The Walk for Water includes a 5k walk/run around main campus of Villanova University, followed by an outdoor barbeque, live music, and fun! Just by participating, you will help one Waslalan gain clean water.

Register today as either an individual participant or a member of a team! The base fee per person is $25, which includes a free t-shirt and lunch. Register before April 11th and enter our raffle for a $100 gift certificate for the iTunes store!

We ask all participants to consider raising $100 to supply one family of four in Waslala with clean water for a lifetime. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers and recruiters of walk participants!

Water for Waslala is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
